Twelve months of the notes app we both use, at the education price

The maker is running its back-to-school pricing for two weeks and, unusually, isn't checking for a student address. The code below takes the annual plan from €96 to €58 for the first year. It renews at the normal price afterwards, and the renewal date is shown on the confirmation page, so put it in your calendar if you don't want a second year.

What you get is the full plan: sync across devices, offline access, and export in open formats, which is the part that convinced us. What you don't get is the team features, which you don't need.

The catch, in full: first-year price only; one use per account; applies to the annual plan, not monthly; if you already have an active plan the discount applies from your next renewal, not today.

The carrier's autumn price for the multi-trip ticket is €9 lower than in August. It's a listed fare rather than a promotion, which means it won't vanish overnight; we mention it because the August price is the one most people still have in their head.

Delayed train in the EU? The refund window is longer than the poster says

Under EU passenger rights, a delay of over an hour entitles you to 25 per cent of the fare back, and over two hours to 50 per cent. What the station posters don't say is that most carriers accept the claim for up to three months after the trip, not the "within 30 days" many people assume. Keep the ticket, note the actual arrival time, and file it when you get round to it.
